that's a very nice result, and a deserved
reward for the effort of winding that coil!
I'm not quite clear about the distance.
Conceptually there is a large difference: 3 km could still be termed
"capacitive coupling", wheras 4 miles would be out of the magic near field
boundary (lambda / 2pi), involving radiation and Hertzian waves
;-)

the signal source is an adret ocxo controlled
signal generator up to 2 Mhz.pa is for now a sony lf 25Watt amp.conected with a
tv transformator used as a step-up,and then to the bottom of the loadingcoil.the
dc resistance is 225ohm,the antenne is a 10 meter sloper,Victor is only 4 miles
away,so it is a start,
