Oops, forgotten Stefan's report:
Stefan's 8970 Hz signal is 30 dB over noise in a 2-mHz receiver bandwidth, without the noise blanker. This is actually the "vlf6" stream mentioned below. The receiver itself is located at DF0WD, JO42FD .
