Good evening WOLF (afternoon here)
Good question - Luckily DHO38 is one of the most stable/strong freq sources over the 24 hours periods that I have in Alaska :-)) - the "beam" is pointing at it...its around 7110Kms or so from home.
- I appreciate the feedback - its my second choice over NPM 21.4 which is off for a lot longer, especially today - I see that 0700/0800Z off period for DHO - that really would be a good morning coffee break period.
The other US stations are pretty or very weak, being in the null of the loop or my horrid West/East path
Im running "too many colors" at the moment - which is really gaudy but pretty good at showing selective fading within the signal - well it appears so - ill revert once Ive collected a couple more hours of data.
Cheers for the info -

I cant remember is DHo38 stable to be used as a reference recently with SpecL? - Ive lost NPM for the moment and making a mess of the display :-)) Laurence KL 7UK remote 5
It's relatively stable, enough for this application, but not for phase measurements. IIRC, DHO38 isn't spot on frequency ... the phase wanders off by a few degrees per minute, so it's just a few mHz off. And the folks take a one hour coffee break each morning, during which the transmitter is off. More questionable if the signal is strong & stable enough over that distance.
