Hello Markus,

I fully agree with your reasoning.
After all it was just a test a bit out of curiousity..-)
I also always try to shrink screen dumps as far
as possible.

Dear Clemens,

nice recording indeed!

But personally I am not too happy about those relatively large attachments. I am trying to keep an archive of reflector messages (sic ;-), and at the rate of incoming postings, this would quickly grow fat. Also mobile access to emails (eg. with a webstick in the field) is getting slow and cumbersome.

IMO it' s always a good idea to reduce size and quality of images before mailing them, and perhaps use the former blacksheep size limit (40 kB) as a rough guideline. The best way to publish larger contents would be to upload it to a website and paste a link into the email text.

Best regards,
Markus (DF6NM)

It seems possible to send short mp3 files (size <300kB)
successfully over the list server.
My example was taken from the last SAQ transmission.
