Like I said any fool can generate a bandslip computer generated Beacon. You
mention that you are not required to Transmit while that is true the skill
needed to transmit, set up an appropriate resonated antenna, build a
Transmiter and the ability to send and receive CW is a totally different
ball game.
For receive the only requirement is a Crystal set and a bit of wire, hardly
rocket science. I would suggest you get some transmitting experience before
making observations about those that have the ability and skill to engage in
proper two way communications.
