Hi Andrey

Congrats on reception of JA7NI! He has a very effective TX vertical some 50m high with top loading and with 50W input.

His RX situation is fairly good but he is troubled by local QRM which often limited results during our tests. He used some beverages optimized for top band use for our QSO but I believe he has been working hard on a loop antenna for RX as well.

Lately you'll notice the huge T-storms near JA and HI. These have been limiting my hearing as well during times of mutual propagation so I would imagine the JAs are having trouble hearing DX as well because of this weather.

With respect to frequency coordination this topic was broached during our testing and it was decided not to use the 136 portion of then band then but the idea was considered for future use. Discuss with Yas as Kuni is capable to QSY quickly on TX as he lives at the transmit site. However, his RX station is in the mountains some distance from his home which may complicate things if changes are needed there...

Hi Stefan,

Hi Andrey,

Congratulations! Very interesting and promising. Do you know his TX setup?

Thanks! Power I do not know, but at it very effective aerial.

Question1: Is he always transmitting on the same frequency?

Yes

Question2: What is the time (in UTC) of his strongest signal on your grabber?

Now still early to do conclusions about the best time of propagation.
The signal maximum level turns out every day at various times.

Question3: His grabber has moved or is currently offline. As far as i can remember is is only monitoring arround 137.777 kHz, so what can i do if i want to appear on his grabber in the next days? I have to transmit there since he does not monitor 136.177 +-0.003 kHz.

Wow.. http://ja7ni.pv.land.to/argo Eu-window!

Maybe you can report when he appears on your grabber so i would QSY a bit if i am TXing to that time. Furthermore he surely wouldn't receive anything during his transmission so i could move down in the EU window and come back when he is listening again.

It works almost every day. Contact with Kuni or Yas,
they will give complete information.

The wind forecast is not very promising in the next days so it will take some time until i can be QRV on LF with the kite antenna. Currently i am working on a GPS locked LF RX/TX in /p which will be important in the EU and TA band ;-)

The wind dies down someday ... Everything will be fine! :)

HNY!
