I think that the RTTY i heard was the adjacent HWU or one of the Russian
stations on 18.1 kHz.

Interestingly, it's not there all the time. It comes up with a pre-amble,
sends traffic and then goes off-air.

Dear LF Group,

Good reception of SAQ here in IO91VR this morning:

0743 Tuning up - "vvv de SAQ"
0800 Broadcast message re: Aerial coil upgrades and Christmas greetings
0807 Shut down

The signal was RST599 as usual. QRN level was quite high. Receive system
was a loop antenna oriented N-S, and IC-718 transceiver with transverter.

No RTTY noticed here, just the characteristic falling note of the key-up
backwave as the alternator slowed down. But I was using a 250Hz filter, so
would not have heard other signals up the band.

Cheers, Jim Moritz
