I hear Stefan with 40 db S/N in Gross-Rohrheim / Germany in JN49FR. I am about 20 km west of Stefan.

 

No preamp. Vertical antenna 2m long, 11 m high. RG58CU coax directly to mic input of an IBM T23 laptop. No lowpass. Just a 50 kohm potentiometer to adjust the level to avoid clipping on some other antennas.
