Thanks Dave.

Yes M0BMU and G3WCD manage to decode me regularly now, but further than Jim I struggle on 137.5kHz, although G3YXM did decode me a few weeks ago at 148km.

The much lower ERP because of the lower radiation resistance on 137.5kHz is really noticeable in (lack of) results. An increase in loop wire diameter is needed, so I need to buy some thicker wire and get it up. I also should be running more power, but was rather hoping to keep to 5W from the PA to see what is possible with QRP. On 500kHz with the same antenna and RF power from the PA it is a different story with decent DX reports now being regular.

Perhaps I should go back to the vertical Marconi arrangement and try to get this sorted with a decent loading coil, top hat, etc. as the loop is directional and will be in a null for some stations.

Hi Roger.

No decodes here tonight, although I thought I saw traces of your signal on ARGO earlier on. You did get one spot from Jim, though.

This evening I'll be TXing on 137.5kHz WSPR from 1600-2200z running about 100uW ERP.

Any reports would be much appreciated.
