Dear Stefan, LF group,
despite some storm activity, noise on our
grabbers has gone down again today since about 9:00 UT.
Mal, here's a challenge for you: if you wanted
to load your antenna with a few hundred watts on 8970 Hz, and maintain
a stable carrier for a couple of hours, we could now attempt to top the VLF
distance record, set up by Stefan and Paul Nicholson on March
15;-))
Best 73 to all,
Markus

Subject: VLF: QRN
Dear LF/VLF,
Yesterday und today the QRN levels
are as low as never before since i am monitoring the VLF band. The noise at
6470 Hz is even 10 dB lower than during my test on 1st august, the DFCW-60
window is totally black, the first time ever. Additionally the gap of low QRN
in the morning gets broader and broader, making VLF experiments much more
effective and flexible. The evenings gap appears deeper. Very impressing conds
:-)

Stefan/DK7FC
