As winter is coming this may be
of interest to MF over the pond
the news is slowly breaking however,
WE9XLQ Special Permit to use ROS
in USA held by Rein W6SZ
Rein, Applied
for the permit using the ROS user v2
manual as a required informative document.
The application took 4 weeks to
process and allows all ros modes on all bands , he is
looking
to run the MF-1/7 modes on HF as well
as the normal wider modes , I don not think he has MF tx
capability
weather that means he could 'visit' a mf
station I don't know , In the UK I would need to advise
ofcom of the
intended /p location in advance.
An initial test on 14 meg using
mf-1/7 produced a qsl from lu2ham , but the
psk-reporting system posted the
spot as 502 , due to the mode
being locked to the frequency
It would appeared that it
only allows Rein to 'TX' in the USA
and not for usa stn to tx back.
