Mal,

Sorry, but been out most of the day & was not able to respond. Just looked at the 8.970kHz system & battery is down. Will have to charge overnight (sealed lead acid type).

Hi Stefan,

When I read your report I set up my VLF (M0BMU) loop & monitored there & also with my JRC NRD-345 Rx.

The signal is quite strong on SpecLab & is moving up the frequency in steps from 14.0 kHz to 15.0 kHz in last 30 minutes. The JRC is showing S5 (noise S1) on the meter using Mini-Whip active antenna.

Dear group,

Currently there is a very strong (abt 30 dB S/N) drifting carrier that started about 7:30 UTC on abt 12 kHz and is moving now up on 14 kHz. First i thought that it is a local signal but now i saw that it is also visible on the DF6NM VLF grabber with about same strength!

Has anyone an idea what it might be? It must be a commercial transmitter due to the signal strength at both locations!
