Thanks  for the  reports last night  Eddie, looks like it was a bad night  for  EU on 500  ..  better  out west, but no one  uses   R  out that  way
my  ft-897  usb cable  radiates on one of the  fm  70  meg  simplex frequencies .. must be  something  about  70

I might add that my WSPR MEPT is on the ?Summer run down? at the moment with some long breaks for RXing on 70MHz, yep my 500k creates havoc for 70MHz low signal work. Some mixer products from the 500k generator Xtals no doubt.

Later it will be QRT for a period.

 

I may try some new ideas in the Autumn, something with no mixing. Or for maximum impact a Black Box J But definitely QRPp.

LF,

WSPR activity on 500 kHz appears in the doldrums with only G4JNT and G3ZJO regularly
transmitting in Europe.

However EI6IZ spotted WD2XSH/17 on 13 occasions last night at 4594 km with s/n averaging
about -25 dB.
