What was the mode in which you have transmitted? QRSS120?

You could try such a TV transformer. That may give you easily 30dB more power (depending on your losses), so you could reach 1,5km!?
If you cannot find such one, you could try a ferrite core out of an SMPS. But it will be a lot of work to wind that secondary coil and handle the HV!

than i take a transformer from the junkbox
40 volt input gave me 160 volt output.
I use my 137khz antenne (340PF).and i can hear my signal 0.5km away,
the reciever is the debeg portable with a datong up converter(28mhz) and a home made loop ,dameter 50cm.
