There was a time in the UK when signaling on DC was an offence. Sending morse down a wire from one house to another infringed the monopoly of the GPO.

So that means there must have been a relaxation of the laws ;-)

If the NOV for 9 falls into the category of a consultation or legislative  procedeure the estimated time is approx 5 years. I have heard this is what happened years ago  over CB on 27 Mcs and on 50 Mcs and more recently on 500 Kcs.

It would appear in the UK all frequencies from DC upwards requires a licence, to operate otherwise it is an offence.

Using a megaphone requires a licence, read the small print and BEWARE
