Test of ROS 100 Mf
Mode tonight
Thanks to all who supplied
information of there respective 500 KHz permitted transmission
bandwidth.
After some negotiation , Jose has
coded a 100 Hz of his ROS data
software , this now gives the system an
‘MF’ mode operating inside the 100 Hz
licence conditions
The 7 baud mode is a live keyboard
mode , being fast enough to maintain a reasonable qso speed
, with selectable afc range
The 1 baud mode is perhaps
more of a beacon mode , but offers enhanced
performance and is perhaps a contender to the
conventional QRS/S modes
Transmission of the mode requires
the traditional audio to rf translation , but as
it’s a single carrier system , non linear amplification
systems may be deployed.
This is the first custom built
data mode resulting from the interest and
participation of monitoring and active stations , of a transmission
system experiment undertaken on 500Khz facilitated by
the OFCOM issued UK
experimental research permit
The software may be freely
downloaded from http://rosmodem.wordpress.com/
TX / RX set ::: 502.000 KHz USB
Carrier centre frequency will
be 503.000 KHz +/- 49 Hz
Many thanks' to all
