I have not seen a reference to it here, but 9kHz enthusiasts might like to read the fascinating RSGB book 'Radio Nature' by Renato Romero, IK1QFK. This covers the frequencies below 30kHz. Several 136kHz operators were involved in translating and editing this book which was originally published in Italian.
