My Racal Sig gen has gone unlocked pll on
me and I’m waiting for the weather to warm up so I can implement the
ideas from Alan as to how I may resurrect it (the XYL won’t let me
perform surgery on the kitchen table L )
Actually all my JRC Rxs will happily tune
down to around 1khz so I’m ok on that front and the old 515 and 505 are v
sensitive at VLF.

Model W & G LD30 range 200 Hz - 20 kHz would do nicely
for 9 kHz Sender/Receiver, just attach it to a big audio amp, then fumble about
with a suitable antenna.
