There are now 3 SM beacons
active on 500 khz, one using SSB and the others on QRS MODE plus the DL
beacons plus others. This band is gradually being choked with QRM
generators. I am sure this sort of activity was not intended for
500.
There are hundreds of Nav beacons worldwide
active around 500 for propagation test purposes, so I do not know why we
need any more.amateur beacons.
There is very little exchange of real
time information in QSO mode.
The LF BAND 137 khz is a different story
with lots of QSO'S taking place and virtually no beacons.
