There is little challenge in copying the mentioned QRO stations, copying QRP stations is the real challenge.

Mal,

I called CQ on 12wpm CW a few times just now on 500kHz, but no takers.

There is always activity on 500kHz WSPR. Reports of my 1mW ERP signal received from 4 different stations (so far) in the last hour or so out to 237kms.

I have never heard LF/MF so quiet over the years since it all started. In the past most of the DX that I have worked was around XMAS time. The wx at present in Scarborough is minus 2 C and covered in 6 inches of snow but it is not effecting my antennas so far even although there is some ice on the wires.
Now calling CQ on 502.6 kcs and looking for acty also on 137 kcs CW
