Dear Group, Warren:
Newfoundland and Labrador Canadians take our humour very seriously:
we laugh at ourselves. "Gotta be some smart to know you's stund, b'y"!
It is clear that everyone is not happy with the way 500 kHz was handled
in Canada. I too have some strong reservations. In the mean time,
VX9MRC is presently on 507.77 kHz transmitting QRSS10. Reports
will be graciously accepted.
Scott: Sorry for the delay and congrats on a well researched web page.
A few minor editorial changes could improve it dramatically. Could
you change '... Joe'e behaviour...' to 'conducing his studies in strict
accordance with a 500 kHz experimental research proposal'? Your
suscinct paraphrase of Craig et al. 2009 (pers. comm. by email of 14 Nov.)
could be better worded to reflect the essential points. Perhaps it is best
that you quote verbatim the full text for which you are herewith granted
permision. Comments on Craig's ego and intentions are poorly
substantiated and you would do well to investigate this further. You may
find better evidence to support a hypotheses that Craig et al. was
simultaneously conducting propagaton studies and contributing to
the success and satisfaction of his esteemed research colleagues.
You are very creative and I was wondering if you could make a QSL card
for me with the Newfoundland Pirate motif! Please feel free to use
my Halloween picture and your magnificent art work.
Best Regards
Joe VO1NA
