Hi, Dennis and Chris.

I checked your relative signal strengths during your QSO on 500 kHz this morning, using the Wandel & Golterman SPM-30. M0JXM was averaging -74 dBm, and G3XIZ was averaging -62 dBm, i.e. 12 dB stronger. If you know how much RF power you were each using, you can deduce your relative antenna efficiencies.

Hope this is useful.

Hi, Dennis.

Your signals are RST 579 here this morning. I can also hear G3DXZ at 349/QSB, but he's sending too fast for reliable copy at this end.

My antenna is a 20m long double wire "tee" at 5m, and the RX is a W&G SPM-30 with a tuned J310 pre-amp.

Hello Mal

Sorry if I left you in the lurch  16.5 today, after giving you a report 599 something happened and a single frequency signal came up on top of you and slowly drifted down frequency, perhaps someone tuning?

Better luck next time.

73 Dennis M0JXM
