According to the chap who gave the EMC/PLT lecture at the RSGB HFC at Wyboston, plasma screens and the like contain an excellent mains filter.  He showed one from a scrap Sony tv

I have just stripped down a SAMSUNG flat screen TV. There are scores of FETS of all varieties and heatsinks. Ideal parts source for the LF/MF TX builder.

plus some nice toroid transformers.
