Hello LFers,

On a recent trip to Newfoundland my wife and I had the pleasure
of meeting Joe, VO1NA, for an eyeball QSO and chat about our
LF activities.  Attached is a shot of Joe sitting on the base of his
LowFER antenna...now we know why his signal is seen across
the pond!!  Seriously, it's a pix of a new installation at a coast
guard antenna farm nearby.

After the tour of a few antenna sites we went to Joe's QTH for a
look at his antennas and station.  We met his wife and daughter
and where treated to a lovely roast turkey dinner.  The visit was
a highlight of our trip and shows how ham radio can open doors
that might otherwise be missed.  Thanks Joe!!
