Thanks for the screen shots Jim. I continue to be simply amazed that my tiny signal is being decoded by ANYONE at all. It certainly proves what a wonderful resource WSPR is for experimenting with QRP, antennas, rigs etc. on any band, but especially on 136 and 500kHz. 73s Roger G3XBM On 17 Sep 2009 20:29, James Moritz <[email protected]> wrote: > Dear Dave, Roger, LF Group, > > > > I have attached a screen shot of WSPR signals from SM6BHZ and G3XBM received just now, using Spectrum Lab set up for QRSS3 reception. G3XBM is never audible at all - the QRN is building rapidly now, but during the day I get 100% copy at about -25 or -26dB; when noise levels build up I sometimes get correct copy at -30dB or so. So that's what it looks like when it is working ;-) > > > > It makes no detectable difference whether I use the SSB filter or 250Hz CW filter on the IC718 - even the local signals on 500k are not really strong enough to overload the audio, provided the RF gain is backed well off so that the S meter reads about s7 or 8. You do need the narrow filter on 136k of course. > > > > Cheers, Jim Moritz > > 73 de M0BMU > |
