LF, Dave, John Hey, G3TDZ, has produced a prototype of a new version of the cave radio which is named after him, and looking for recommendations for CAD software for PCB layout. He doesn't need anything fancy - most packages he has looked at do much more than he wants and are too complicated. The software must be cheap (ideally free or shareware) and the file formats must not be tied to a particular PCB manufacturer. For details of the design see his article "A Prototype Cave Radio to Avoid Loran Interference", CREG Journal issue 72 pp4 to 6, August 2009. Any suggestions, please? 73 John F5VLF |
