As u say it does not move much only a few Hz. This is a pity because it would make a nice osc for mf divided down.

no problem, the info is indeed a bit limited about the Hz/V for the adjustment.
The data sheet seems to suggest that the control voltage is capable of modulating the oscillator, which implies a fast slew rate. This is not particularly good if you intend to just use the oscillator as a fixed frequency source. It means you must filter the control voltage better.
Of course using the source at low frequencies, none of the issues of this type of source will manifest themselves significantly, but it is probable that the performance of a microwave local oscillator locked to one of these may be a bit noisy.
To better understand the unit's characteristics, measure the frequency at extremes of the control voltage range. That is about all the information that is missing.
most oscillators of this type have a fairly limited tuning range, so you may find pulling the unit to your desired frequency on 500KHz is not possible.   To reach 505 KHz the oscillator must pull to 10.1MHz, which is a large excursion for oscillators of this type 10 Hz in 10 MHz is 1ppm. 100KHz in 10 MHz  is 10,000 PPM

Osc fired up and working fb. I was looking for more detailed info about ctl voltages ie V versus Freq. This unit is marked 10Mhz when supplied with 5V ctl voltage, and this is spot on with 6v TTL output.

Does anyone have data for Mc Coy electronics XTAL OSCILLATOR MC137X7-001W 10.000 MHz
SN72758-126
This is a module and requires +5v, +15v sealed unit but has an adjuster and I expect the osc can be shifted slightly, but enough to be useful for 500 Khz divided down.
