WEBSDR is no good from what you have observed.

Hello Richard, all,

I did some 500kHz tests last night with the Twente websdr:
- I cannot hear or see my own signal on the websdr (abt. 1W ERP,
distance 200km)
- While I heard G3KEV 599+ here I could not hear or see on Mal on the
websdr (distance G3KEV-me = 510km, distance G3KEV-Twente = 540km)
I guess a W3DZZ dipole is not the perfect antenna for 600m.

The above is not meant to criticize the WEBSDR project of the Twente
university (all respect for this masterpiece), just to inform that
one shouldn't panic it your 500kHz signal doesn't show up.

Amazing!

I heard a couple of NDBs, "LAA" and "LI". You can also see what frequencies
the other users are using, which is interesting in a curious way!
