Hi All,

Just a line or two for the followers of the G4JNT 505.7kHz beacon to explain the erratic signal & noise levels recently on the beacon grabber chart.

Over the past few days I have been working on my antenna system. This was to carry out repairs & improvements to the top load on my LF/MF vertical since the damage due to the gales in the early part of the year.

The raising & lowering etc of the mast & antenna has had an adverse effect on the Mini-Whip active antenna used for the reception of the beacon which is also installed on the mast.

The work is now completed & I feel that anyone who is following the beacon data chart will now see an un-interrupted chart apart from the times when I use the LF/MF antenna for my own transmitting arrangements. This is usually announced on the grabber page.

73,

Gary - G4WGT - IO83QO.
