This is to advise that Finbar EI0CF is
hoping to operate fixed Portable on 501.050 khz from approx 11000 to 1400 BST
on the 17th and 18th of June. Location will be Shannon Harbour, near Banagher, Co.
Offaly. Antenna in use will be a 30 foot vertical, with 4 top
hat wires, fed against the car body and on the ground 16x 20 ft radial
system A Spiderbeam vertical whip will be used for support.
Transmitter power will be between 10/30watts. All subject to site
suitability, weather etc. The system has been tested with a number of QSO’s
with GW3UEP.
Shannon Harbour is where the Grand Canal and River Shannon
meet and close to the centre point of the Island.
