Hello Rik, LF

Congrads to your ufb transverter + linear!!!
I am looking forward monitoring your Digital Transmissions.

Hello Gerhard, LF,

thanks for the report.
I just finished a transverter + linear PA and it was one of the first
on-air tests.
Transverter: 4.5MHz to 500kHz with 4MHz xtal osc + SBL1 mixer + buffer
amp 50mW out
PA: modified 3-30MHz PA, just changed the input and output transformers.
Output is about 100W (1.5A antenna current)

Power is about 4dB down on the other (class D) PA, but modifying an
existing PA was the fast option.

I hope to run some first digital tests (PSK, WSPR, RTTY ...) during
the next weeks.
Maybe I'll try to build a "big" 500kHz linear PA (> 300W) in summer.
Building a 500kHz modified version of the G3YXM linear PA for 160-40m
(http://wireless.org.uk/throb.htm) looks tempting, anyone tried this
already ?
