Both he and DI2AM were not doing so well as local snow storm noise was very high, but the neutron density @ http://dx.qsl.net/propagation/propagation.html was over 12.0

Could see strong signal with long dashes and probably CW ID but it was all sliced up with QRN hits.

l believe that G3XIZ was transmitting QRSS30 on that frequency, saw him on Gary's grabber.

BTW: inter-Europe condx seemed very good yesterday:
DI & OK beacons were booming as was SK6RUD.
Also good copy of GI4DPE beacon (peaking 579)
Strong (599+) daytime copy of G3KEV, obviously enjoying the new 10W ERP privileges
