I am comparing propagation on both MF bands at present by calling CQ on 500 khz and QSX 1830 khz and also the reverse CQ 1830 Khz and QSX 500 Khz also working simplex on each band when appropriate.
This procedure also keeps QSO'S within the MF spectrum, and gives those not licensed for 500 the opportunity to have a MF QSO by replying on the 160m band. True MF activity.
 
160 M Antenna is a 1 wave inv L, 100 ft high vertical section and the rest horizontal
