Hi Gary,
Well, is a long story so far , after the
initial responses, there was no real follow up, periodically, I have sent
invites to various centres of excellence with quite mixed
results
The main problem would appear to be that not everyone is interested in
500 and secondly , confusion is
generated with the apparent desire to
establish a permanent beacon chain as opposed to the original free for
all (quite literally ) open propagation experiment, using simple beacons and
reception stations, both active and passive . This also has clashed with a move
to reduce beacon activity below 20
MHz , so perhaps in higher
circles the concept has become ?hot?, conceivably, but there is also a need to demonstrate experimental activity on
what is a ?experimental band?.
As can be seen from the recent posts, the
problem still exists, in that qrss may produce a trace at the other end but as to who it is, is still the subject
of debate ! and even so , no real data is extracted that my be used for
scheduling a qso or pond-hopping
attempt or semi local qso?s . From
the published traces, we do seem to be looking at flash propagation but without
any data recovery it hard to say ? I think the 6 hour whisper transmission
is the closest yet to a documented
?run? ?
Unfortunately, the audio processing and
data recovery aspects of the system
are out side the programming skills of ?my? circle of friends and as such I am
not able to instigate the coding of
the system, as you can see from the original work, the system is feasible and
would of provided quite a few pond-hopper ?qsl? cards this winter
alone, whilst reducing the carbon foot print by much reduced transmitter duty
cycle time !
Thanks for the follow up, but as of yet,
with recognition to the original
coding inputs , there is no system at the moment.
