Hello Ken,
Been following your exchanges.
I find GI4DPE is not a reliable consistent signal here, last evening I could not hear him.
The strongest signal here, in fact it was overwhelmingly strong last evening, recently has been SM6BHZ on 504.5. If you can't hear that your noise level must be horrendous!
RF wise I am relatively close to you, being in the south east, but no TX.
