Hello John,
thanks for the QSO. Due to rather strong QRN copy was only Q4. But I
was happy to notice any activity on 500kc at last. Apart from the
beacons there seems to be almost no activity.
Your grabber is a very good tool to check +1000km propagation. I can
see my signal every evening running full power (abt 300W) and very
often running my tuning power (25W). Based on the color I produce on
the grabber I have a pretty good idea about propagation.
I have been thinking about a way to move the cursor over the
screenshot and read the signalstrength (in dB) but so far I haven't
found a way to do that in javascript (ie to.retrieve the color of a
certain pixel)

Rik, LF,
Thanks for the QSO Rik. I called CQ and was surprised to hear (or see
on the grabber first!) someone calling, off my frequency. The grabber
is great for that! A quick retune of the RX and there you were.
Your signal was good, even in a wide 2.4kHz filter, despite the QRN and
QSB. There's a short clip of the full recording at :

I left the RX tuned to you, so my "sidetone" is rather high-pitched!
Thanks for this season's best 2 way 500kHz DX, 1102km.
