Dear LF Group, Having suffered the wrath of Mother Nature yet again, the beaconis back on the air. The reduced ERP is a result of an ice/wind abbreviated aerial which is now only 25 metres long, sloping up to 10 metres height at the end. 10 watts output 0.4 amps QRSS90 on the hour. Any reports at all will be received with considerable surprise and jubilation and great outpourings of sincere gratitude! The shorter aerial takes more inductance -- about 4-5 mH. Only 0.9 mH was need to tune it when it was 100m long. 73 Joe VO1NA |
