All that is required on LF/MF is a xtal set and a good pair of EARS, which
have good selectivity anything else is a bonus.
If you live in a noisy Urban environment all the latest contraptions will
not help, the solution is to move away into a rural area, problem normally
solved.
Appliance operatated devices are no substitute for the real thing ie GOOD
EARS and a good CW fist.
