Hello J B and all ,look at : http://patft1.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO1&Sect2=HITOFF&d=PALL&p=1&u=/netahtml/PTO/srchnum.htm&r=1&f=G&l=50&s1=3984839.PN.&OS=PN/3984839&RS=PN/3984839 73 qro J-P f1afj J. B. Weazle McCreath a écrit : Hello Lowfers & LFers, My good wife gave me Volume 7 of the ARRL Antenna Compendium as one of my Christmas gifts. On page 3 is an article which describes a very clever way of placing inductive loading at the top of a tower which is part of a top loaded monopole. The author is John Belrose, VE2CV. It's done by placing an insulated conductor inside the upper portion of the tower. The top of the conductor extends above the tower slightly and has the top loading attached to it. The lower end of the conductor is connected to the tower to form an air-insulated coaxial line. Moving the position of this lower connection varies the length of the coaxial line which in turn varies the inductance. Has anyone here heard of this previously and/or tried it? 73, J.B., VE3EAR - VE3WZL Solar and wind powered Lowfer " EAR" 188.830 EN93dr http://www.hurontel.on.ca/~weazle -- Website : http://jpmere.online.fr/ |
