Further info on my QSO with Rik OR7T last night, I was using a tunable pre-amp with a gain of 3 - 10dB gain in front of my Kenwood TS140 )used as RX only), the antenna is a 102ft doublet with the 8m section of vertical 430 ohm feeder commoned at the Variometer. The TX was producing 600mA into the antenna. 73 Ken M0KHW IO91TV -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of John Pumford-Green GM4SLV Sent: 31 January 2008 12:18 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: LF: RE: OR7T 559 On Thu, 31 Jan 2008 09:59:43 -0000 "Ken Wright" <[email protected]> wrote: > I worked OR7T at 21:20 utc last evening in Luton IO91TV, very good > signal, I gave him 477. Hi Ken, LF Congratulations on working Rik. That 477 is an interesting report! "Readable with practically no difficulty, moderately strong signals, near pure tone with trace of ripple modulation." Don't hear too many "non-T9" reports these days... ;-) John GM4SLV |
