Mike, LF,Thanks for your comments, it is very gratifying when something actually shows for the hours put into the work. Next step will be to raise the mast to its usual height (top load at 12 metres) soon & test again. Cheers, Gary - G4WGT.----- Original Message ----- From: "Michael Probert" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, November 10, 2007 8:21 PM Subject: LF: RE: Antenna upgrade etc Hello Gary, Have been listening to your test on and off for several hours. Signals varying between S8 and down to noise with very slow QSB. I have certainlynot heard you so strong before so all your hard work on the antenna has paidoff. 73 Mike GW4HXO. __________________________________________________________ Subject: LF: Antenna upgrade etc I will be operating test transmissions with the antenna at 9 metres highrather its usual 12 metres. The initial Rx & Tx tests seem to show a similarperformance at 9 metres high as compared to the original antenna at 12 meters, so preliminary results are quite promising.
