Me also - in Shetland - strongest station I've heard on the band -
actually giving S4 on the S-meter!

My NOV has actually arrived at last and I have my variometer to tune the
antenna for transmitting so hopefully after various important chores
are done (including a 5 mile run!) I'll get the antenna tuned/loaded
and radiate some RF on 500.

Okay John great news about your NOV.
Re g3kev... just realised that I had 15dB of attenuation switched in so he was a BIG signal!!!
