Was that you calling 'KEV last evening? Somebody weak and I thought I heard your call-sign (which I could never do on 136!)

In view of the fact that I seem to be hearing stations many times
better than they are receiving me at the moment (!) I have started to
make short audio recordings of stations on the band to give you all
an idea of my receiver performance. You will find these at:
http://my.opera.com/davews/blog/2007/06/05/500khz-recordings

At the moment there are only G3KEV, G3UNT, G3VTT and G3XIZ there, but
I will add to it from time to time until most of the active stations
are there. (if anybody does NOT want to be there, please let me know
and I will remove them).

It is difficult to indicate actually signal strength from an audio
recording. Most of the above were s8-s9 on the meter and you will see
that the signal to noise ratio is excellent with all of them way
above the noise.

Hope this is of interest.

By the way I noticed that GW3UEP was to be on the band this morning
from 0545 local. By the time I had seen his email it was already 0640
and I heard nothing of him on 502.0. I don't think I have heard Roger
yet, but that sort of time is rather early even for me!
