Condx on 500 have been noisy lately with rain and snow static especially
after dark. I have both an inv L and a large loop on 500 and should hear you
provided condx are favourable. Since this band is more like 160 m then the
same criteria would apply. Some nights on 160 sigs from the USA are very
strong with me and other nights nothing heard. I have worked across the
atlantic during good condx with just a few watts 10 -100w at times and other
times even with a few hundred watts it is not possible. With your 100w or
less it would be possible with the right tail wind, in fact with a good
antenna at ur end you should hear some of the UK stations even with the low
power but condx would have to be good.
Room for thought
If I get a chance and the qrn level drops I will listen for you
