Hello Warren

The addition of a modified PA0LQ audio filter would probably do the trick.
A good number of us on the NDB list are using 8Hz or narrower versions of this filter with great success.

Steve Ratzlaff has recently modified the 8 pole Vectronics CW audio filter kit, model VEC-821K (list price of $29.95) to give switchable bandwidths of 6Hz, 7Hz and 14 Hz.

Details of that modification are available for anyone who is interested.

http://www.morsex.com/ sell the kit for $24.95

73s Tracey

I have a 1650/6 which Geoff mofided by the addition of an opto-encoder for tuning as well as some other modifications. It works well but lacks a narrow cw filter which would be necessary for LF work.
