Hi, Alan, JB, LFers,

There's also a nifty calculator available on the Dressler web-site.

http://www.dressler.com/more_about_rf/rf_formuler_resonant.html

You don't have to be online to use it...you can store the HTML page on your
hard drive locally, and it still works!

Hi JB, I am glad you like it. I built it to use just that way. I find it a
good way to get a feel for the problems...like "What happens if.....?" You
are quite often stuck with one value either a prefeed one of the capacity of
an antenna that you can't do much about. I am also allergic to continually
re-entering values to a utility. To get the best use out of the reactance
box you have to remember that the inductive and capacitive reactances are
equal at resonance.

I hope the version of Jim's lop design works well for you

Best Wishes de Alan G3NYK
