Dex,
I have the same situation here. I run a G0MRF TX with an external dds
synthesizer and get pretty substantial key clicks. Although I haven't
implemented it yet, it may be helpful to key the HT supply to the PA with a
shaped waveform.
There is a circuit for doing this on Dave Pick's website:

I have noticed some nasty keying spikes while keying the G0MRF 300 watt
amp with the ZL1BPU exciter. I know this is probably to be expected by
keying the input signal to the amp instead of the amp's keying circuit.
Anyone have an idea for how to make this exciter amp combination key better?
Tnx,
Dex
