Dear Bob,

good news! I have looked on my grabber's screen which showed Joze S52AB, "RU" (presumably from Ed RU6LA) on 922.08, Teo's "AR" around 921.70, Laurie's "AQC", and a local OCXO reference line on 920.0.

During the tests I also ran a decimated audio recording, using DL4YHF's SndInput tool. For comparison I produced a Spectrogram from it, having the same resolution (5.2 milliHz / 12 seconds) and borders as your Argo.

The upper trace in your capture is clearly the RU signal, even the slight chirp is reproduced well. The dashes beneath it must then be AR again.

The pictures (including yours) can be downloaded from

Congratulations again, excellent stuff!

73 and all the best

Markus, DF6NM

Hi all,

I may have got two weak signals in the pre-dawn capture this morning.  Comments invited.  I've emailed Markus a full image file in the hope that he can assist with possible identification.
