Subject: LF: 2 way QSO in the USA
Hello group.
The following appeared a few days ago but has not yet been posted
here.
Congratulations to John and Warren on the QSO and Jay for the
recording.

First US 137kHz QSO. John Andrews W1TAG (experimental license WD2XES)
and
Warren Ziegler K2ORS (WD2XGJ) had the first two way Part 5 QSO in the
U.S. at
0200 Friday November 12 on CW. They are about 25 miles (40km) apart
and both
stations used transmit loop antennas. John was running 200W with a
homebrew
exciter into a Hafler audio amplifier and Warren 250W with a G0MRF
Class-D
switching transmitter. Warren's receiver was an HP 3586C selective
level meter
and John used his ICOM R75. Jay Rusgrove W1VD (about 100 miles South
in CT)
made an MP3 of the QSO:
