It seems surprising that no new countries have
joined in the LF activity, in spite of the fact it has been going for a few
years now. In fact the opposite has happened. Those active before have now
deserted the band but are very active on the other HF bands. I have worked quite
a number of these ex 136 ops who have no intention of coming back to LF
!!
The current activity certainly does not justify the
effort involved to get a LF station going.
QRS seems the prominent mode, which most LF ops
detest, especially when it is totally unnecessary. QRS(vy slow
cw)
has driven the majority away from 136 khz.
This is what they all say.
Maybe its time to start leaning CW.
